It's been awhile. I have decided to move to Yahoo 360 and start a blog there. So this will be my last blog on xanga.
I will end my xanga Blog with the first blog entry in my 360 account.

Net Neutrality

The Internet has always been a glorious tool used by many for entertainment and educational purposes. Think about all the stuff you buy online, the web comics you read, the flash cartoons you watch, the games you play, and the weblogs you type. Now think about the people who publish this stuff on the internet. Most of these people make their living off of the stuff you buy and the content you view. Now imagine if someone wanted to make money off of the people who make thier living on the internet.

Well the government wants to pass the COPE- act. An act that allows certain internet providers such as verizon and comcast choose which web content loads the fastest. This means that sites that don't bring them lots of money will either load at slower than dial-up speed or won't load at all. Lets say you wanted to sell artwork or T-shirts online, or stuff would never appear on another computer screen unless you paid the companies large wads of cash to have them display your products online. If you play a free multiplayer online game, then two things will happen. Either your game will become flooded with ads or you will have to start paying a fee to play your game.

The only good thing that can come out of this is that most "bad" web content will be filtered out. But it the small effect does not makeup the overall effect

for more info go to http://ctrlaltdel-online.com/news.php?i=1087 and read an online web comic artists thought about Net Neutrality.

Net Neutrality is a good thing. Vote against the COPE-act.

I havn't updated in awhile... but then again, nothing happened (as always) and only one person reads this anyways. But I always update every now and then just in case someone stumbles upon my journal by a misfortunate accident and somehow becomes interested in my significantly boring and monochromatic life. Though I can't see how that would ever happen

I hate saying that my weekend has been so good when my friends weekend was  so bad... but I will anyway
Me and 2 of my friends spent the weekend at a friends house, so the four of us played games, through random objects at eachother, broke a few lamps, and exchanged foul names with eachother. then today 2 of my friends came over to look at my new van which we plan to take on a trip to daytona beach this summer. Other than that I just wanted to say that I will be praying that your next week will be better than your previous week. And if random misfortunate person is reading this, I would like to ask you to pray too.

As you can see from the chatterbox on the side, I got pretty bored, but I think it is a niffty little feature. I'm not sure when I'll ever need to use it though.

I just got back from the Gatlinburg "Streangth to Stand" conference. It was freakin awsome. I learned some new things, made some new friends, and got some new music. I'm listening to it now.
